The Swiss call their bikes bikes. And they love it. So it's no wonder that our customer JUMBO - Switzerland's largest DIY store - wants to position itself in this area in a new and big way. What does it need for this? A modern bike design, contemporary packaging and user-centred communication.

For bike buyers, the rule is to gather information in advance. Catalogues are collected, read and compared. This is all the more important if it gives them a good feeling. For the California catalogue, we were inspired by popular outdoor and sports magazines in order to present a catalogue that not only sells bikes, but also an attitude to life.
The logo design: setting an example for the future
A great new product design also needs a new, contemporary logo. That's why we developed a new logo for California that embodies all of the brand's values: Simplicity, dynamism and reliability. And, of course, made for all Swiss people.
The packaging design: the brand for the environment
For many people, buying a bike is also a decision in favour of the environment. For sustainability. That is why we have developed a design for all the necessary packaging elements that uses very little colour and is therefore easy to recycle. What's more, the natural colour of the chosen material literally radiates sustainability.
