Personal data

Personal data are data regarding your person. They include your name, address, and email address. You also do not need to disclose any personal data in order to visit our website. In some cases, we will need your name and address and other information to provide you with the requested service.

The same shall apply if we provide any information material to you upon request or if we respond to your inquiries. In such cases, we shall always point this out to you. We shall also only store the data that you have transmitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

When you use any of our services, we generally collect only the information necessary to provide our service to you. We may ask you for additional information to be provided on a voluntary basis. Whenever we process any personal data, we do this to provide you with our service or to pursue our commercial objectives.

Contact

When contacting us (e.g. using our contact form, by email, by phone, or on social media), the information of the inquiring party shall be processed as far as this is necessary to respond to the contact requests and any requested measures.
We shall respond to any contact requests within the context of contractual or pre-contractual relationships in order to comply with our contractual obligations or to respond to any (pre)contractual inquiries and otherwise based on our legitimate interest in responding to the inquiries.

  • Types of data processed: Inventory data (e.g. names, addresses), contact data (e.g. email address, phone numbers), content data (e.g. entries in online forms).
  • Data subjects: Communication partners.
  • Purposes of processing: Contact requests and communication.

Automatically stored data

Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • date and time of the request
  • name of the requested file
  • page from which the file was requested
  • access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.)
  • web browser and operating system used
  • complete IP address of the requesting computer
  • data volume transferred

These data are not merged with data from any other sources. Processing shall be performed pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in improving stability and
function of our website.
We store these data for a short period of time for reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server. It is not possible for us to draw conclusions
about individual persons on the basis of this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymised by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish
a link to the individual user. In addition, the data is processed anonymously for statistical purposes; it is not compared with other data or passed on to third parties, even in excerpts. Only in the context
of our server statistics, which we publish every two years in our activity report, is there a presentation of the number of page views.

Cookies
When you visit our website, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Many cookies contain a cookie ID. A cookie ID is a unique identifier of the cookie. It comprises a string of characters by which websites and servers can be assigned to the specific web browser where the cookie was stored. This enables the visited websites and servers to distinguish the individual browser of the data subject from other web browsers that contain other cookies. A specific web browser can be recognised and identified via the unique cookie ID.

Use of session cookies allows the controller to provide the users of this website with a user-friendly service that would not be possible without the cookie. Without consent, we will only use technically necessary cookies on the legal basis of legitimate interest pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR.

We use personal cookies to improve our website or for marketing/advertising purposes with your consent only. During your first visit, you may voluntarily agree to tracking or analysis via the appearing cookie banner. If necessary, your data will be passed on to partners or third-party providers. Only if you explicitly agree to this will these cookies be stored; in that case, the legal basis is your consent pursuant to point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. You may change your settings for the use of cookies here at any time:

In this context, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page calls, duration of visit, operating systems used, and origin of the user. These data are assigned to the respective terminal device of the user. They will not be assigned to device ID.

Furthermore, we can use Google Analytics to track your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Furthermore, Google Analytics uses various modelling approaches to augment the data sets it collects and employs machine learning technologies in its data analysis.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable the recognition of the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google on use of this website are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google may combine these data under a transaction ID assigned to the respective user or their device.

We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Tag Manager is a tool that helps us use tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. It is only used for administration and display of the tools integrated in it. However, Google Tag Manager will collect your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google’s parent in the United States.

Use of Google Tag Manager is based on point (f) of Art. 6(1) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in quick and easy integration and management of various tools on its website. If the corresponding consent has been collected, processing will be performed exclusively based on point (a) of Art. 6(1) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG, as far as the consent includes storage of cookies or access to information in the user’s terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG.
